Moss Cottage Kennels & Cattery Manchester is set amidst 9 acres of moorland in Sale, Cheshire. The complete holiday home for your pet to enjoy – where better than a caring place for your Best Friend/s. We are conveniently situated off J8 of the M60, 15 minutes from Manchester International Airport and just a short distance from Manchester City Centre.

The Kennels

Moss Cottage Boarding Kennels Manchester provide individual heated kennels of various sizes according to the breed of your dog. All the kennels have an overhead heater, which is turned on at 6.30 in the evening and stays on right through until the next morning. Each kennel has its own outdoor run. We also have larger ‘double’ kennels for families sharing. All the outdoor runs are covered to protect your pet.

Our Cat Houses are all indoors in our modern, state of the art UPVC building. Each cat house is fully insulated with its own full length door giving access to the individual exercise/play area or they can make use of the cat flap which takes them through onto a viewing shelf where they can relax and watch the world go by and then run up and down a ladder, again into the individual exercise /play area.

Doggy Daycare

Doggy Daycare Manchester boarding only £10 per dog per day and £7.50 per additional dog per day from the same family. There are various options available, regular day boarders where you bring your dog early in the morning 8am so you can still get to work on time and then collect your dog at 6pm or before (please contact us to discuss your needs).

Free Taster Day

We think it’s good to give your dog a chance to get used to the surroundings of a kennel environment. It gives your dog a chance to soak up the atmosphere and see other dogs and get to know our staff before coming in for a stay. Also, they understand that whilst you did drop them off, that you are indeed coming back for them! Usually on a Taster Day, dogs come in the morning and stay till the afternoon.

Boarding Kennels and Cattery Prices

Our prices are per day or part thereof. There is a reduction for pets from the same family sharing a family kennel or cat house. Please ask at time of booking.

(Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Day incur a supplement per day of 1 day’s boarding).

Miniature Dogs (eg Pom, ETT, Pug, Chihuahua) £12.50
Small – Medium Dogs(eg Westie, Springer Spaniel) £13.50
Large Dogs (Labrador, Boxer) £14.50
Giant Dogs (Newfies, St Bernards) £15.50

Medication

All veterinary recommended medication can be administered by our trained staff while your pet stays with us. If injections are required to be administered out of kennel hours (10am-4pm), then their will be a small fee of £2.00 per injection applied.

Microchipping…..Special Rate £18 for a limited period

Pet Vaccination Requirements

We require that all pets boarding with us must be fully vaccinated, including the Kennel Cough vaccination and that all their boosters are up to date. All vaccinations require annual boosters.

Kennel Cough

It is possible for kennel cough (canine bronchitis) to be passed on anywhere that dogs congregate. Kennels with a rapid turnover of guests can be particularly susceptible. We ask that all dogs are vaccinated against the disease, and any dogs coughing will not be allowed to board. Please ask your vet for details of the vaccination, it will have to be administered at least a week before boarding and now lasts for a year so is easy to get when your dog has its annual booster.

The above is for the comfort and safety of all our boarders, where a risk of cross-infection may exist.

We need to see each dog’s vaccination card or other veterinary certificate at the time of checking in for our own records.
